Reviving the Rare Legacy of Porcelain Mastery

To fully showcase the beauty of porcelain, Halcyon Watch's porcelain pieces are crafted through the collaboration of several renowned artisans, adhering to strict handcrafted porcelain-making processes.

From the selection of clay and formulation to firing, the process involves over a dozen meticulous steps, culminating in a 48-hour firing and cooling process using local pinewood in ancient kilns in Jingdezhen.

One in a Hundred, Well-deserved.

To meet the precision required by watch movements, a porcelain dial must be less than 1 millimeter thick, with a tolerance no greater than 0.02 millimeters.

While such precision can easily be achieved with stone or metal through extension and polishing, porcelain, originating from soft clay, becomes unworkable once fired. The final pieces can only be selected, not refined.

The primitive, smoke-filled production environment and the romantic process that heavily relies on artisans' craftsmanship, combined with stringent selection criteria, result in a success rate that is truly one in a hundred, well-deserved.

The Floating Markers

The transparent glaze of porcelain, composed of fine bubbles, creates an illusion where the printed dial markers appear to float in mid-air, casting a soft shadow and enhancing the ethereal, otherworldly feel.
